A seagull flies over the California Coastal National Monument which stretches along the entire coast of California and extends 12 miles into the Pacific Ocean.  The Monument includes 20,000 rocks, islands, pinnacles and reefs.

Toward a safe, clean energy future:  The proposed Ocotillo Sol solar project has begun the environmental review and public participation process required by Federal law. The project is proposed for a 115 acre parcel of BLM land adjacent to the Imperial Valley Substation.
