I am a small green-backed yellow bird with a black crown. My song is a rapid medley of twittering notes. My call includes a plaintive tee-yee? or cheeo?

I live in the Oak Savanna and Mixed Woodlands on Table Rocks.

I like to feed on dandelion seeds and raise my young on soft unripe seeds. I adjust the time and place of my breeding to the presence food. When nesting, I can lay four to five pale blue eggs in a twiggy nest in a bush or low tree.
