I am a sparrow-sized bird with a bright blue head with pale cinnamon breast, white belly and wing bars. Females are dull brown, lighter below, with 2 pale wing bars.

I live in the Oak Savannah and Mixed Woodland communities on the Table Rocks.

My song is a high-pitched, excited series of warbled phrases with the first notes usually repeated. Females lay three or four pale blue eggs in a loose cup of grass and rootlets in a bush.
