Birds of the Table Rocks
Common Raven
I am similar to the American Crow but larger, with a heavier bill and wedge-shaped tail. You may see me soaring like a hawk. I make deep, varied guttural croaking or a hollow wonk-wonk noise.
I nest on the cliffs of Table Rocks. I can lay four to seven dull green eggs, spotted with brown, in a large mass of sticks containing a cup lined with fur, moss, and lichens, and placed on a cliff.
I am primarily a scavenger. I eat rodents, small nestlings, eggs, seeds, or anything I can find. I regularly ride on rising air currents and frequently indulge in aerial displays, with mock fighting, tumbling, and other forms of acrobatics.
