Plan a picnic or set up camp near Hult Reservoir, where you can spend the afternoon canoeing, horseback riding, warm water fishing, or explore many miles of forest roads. Then, wander through the surrounding mountains to find the Salem District's Alsea Recreation Area and Back Country Byway. OHV use is limited to open, existing roads.

Directions:

From Eugene, Oregon take Highway 99 North for approximately 10 miles to Highway 36. Go west on Highway 36 for about 20 miles. Follow the signs to Horton, taking a right on Horton Road. Follow Horton Road for about 4 miles and then take a right on Lake Creek Road. Hult Reservoir is located about 2 miles down Lake Creek Road on the right.
