Also referred to as Horton Pond, Hult Reservoir is an ideal site for a picnic, camp, or an afternoon playing on the water. The reservoir is open to non-motorized recreation only and is optimal for canoeing, kayaking, and warm water fishing. An ADA accessible fishing platform (pictured) and restrooms are available at the boat launch, but otherwise the area is without expanded amenities so leave no trace and pack it in-pack it out practices are required. Also nearby is the Hult Equestrian Staging Area, accessing beautiful trails for horseback riding. While there is an expansive road system to explore, there is no authorized off-road OHV use in the area. OHV use is limited to open, existing BLM roads only.
From Eugene, Oregon take Highway 99 North for approximately 10 miles to Highway 36. Go west on Highway 36 for about 20 miles. Follow the signs to Horton, taking a right on Horton Road. Follow Horton Road for about 4 miles and then take a right on Lake Creek Road. Hult Reservoir is located about 2 miles down Lake Creek Road on the right.
