Bolt Mountain Trail is a multi-use trail open to Hiking, Bicycle and Horse uses. The trail was constructed as a partnership between Josephine County and the Bureau of Land Management. The 3.2 mile trail begins at Fish Hatchery Park and ends at the top of Bolt Mountain. This moderately difficult trail grade averages about 10% and offers excellent 360 degree views of the Applegate and Rogue Valleys as you travel to the top.

Directions:

To get to the trailhead, travel south from Grants Pass on Williams Highway 238. Turn right on New Hope Road just past the Fire Station and drive approximately 3.2 miles. Turn right on Fish Hatchery Road and drive about 2 miles. Turn right on Weatherbee drive, just before the Fish Hatchery Bridge and continue up the road about .5 miles to the large gravel parking lot at the entrance to Fish Hatchery Park.
