Float Space Openings

The Wild Rogue is a regulated use river with noncommercial permits required for floating between Grave Creek and Foster Bar from May 15 through October 15. Noncommercial Float permits cost $10.00 per person, per trip. There are several ways to obtain a noncommercial permit to float the Wild Rogue River during the "regulated use" season.

Smullin Visitor Center Phone Hours:

  • May 5 - October 15: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Visitor Center doors will be open May 5 through October 15 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Please Note: October 15th marks the end of the regulated use season for the wild section of the Rogue. Non-commercial self-issue permits are available online at: http://www.blm.gov/or/resources/recreation/rogue/files/off-season_permit.pdf. Off-season permits are also available at the the Rand Visitor Center or the Grave Creek Bridge. Firepans and portable toilets are required for all floaters.
