Oregon Trail Advisory Board
Established in 1999, the Trail Center Advisory Board develops recommendations and advice for the management, use, and further development of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. It functions as a liaison between the BLM and the Oregon Trail Preservation Trust. Its focus is a financially secure, world-class historical and educational facility, operated in partnership between the Federal Government and the community.
The Advisory Board is authorized to gather and analyze information, hear public testimony, and develop recommendations with respect to the Interpretive Center. This could include coordination of activities along the Oregon Trail, and fostering communication within the region related to Interpretive Center needs, programs, and activities. Decisions are made through consensus, and the Advisory Board provides a forum for community contact.
