There is no doubt that the rules and regulations over many years has stopped so much logging that it has had a devastating effect on Oregon's economy. I am not a scientist and can only say that as a citizen of Lane County I urge change in the amount of timber that is cut. We must have jobs and there is no reason why sensible logging should not take place. I was in the logging industry for over 18 years and it was horrible the lives that the environmental extremists ruined with their shut down of the forests for logging. The environmentalist have gone way too far and sanity must prevail and an increase in the amount of timber that is harvested is very much needed and welcomed, please open up the forest for more logging the sooner the better!
