Protest Period Archive

Bureau of Land Management made a decision to move forward with a 30-day public protest period related to the release of the Final EIS for the Western Oregon Plan Revisions. The BLM provided a protest period that ended on December 8, 2008. In all, the BLM received 265 formal protests. The six RODs were signed after all the protests were analyzed and resolved. The BLM made minor changes as a result of the protest process.

A separate but related protest was resolved concurrently with the protests to the Final EIS. The Approved Resource Management Plans adopt the new Sustained Yield Units that were proposed in 2007. The letters that respond to the joint protest are provided, below.
