Transmittal of Exception to Survey and Manage Pre-disturbance Survey Requirements for Wildland Fire for Resource Benefits

 

This Instruction Memorandum transmits information regarding an exception to the Survey and Manage pre-disturbance survey requirements for wildland fire for resource benefits.  The attached Regional Interagency Executive Committee memorandum, dated July 31, 2003, states that no pre-disturbance surveys are required for wildland fires for resource benefits, regardless of land allocation, if specific conditions are met.  Forest Supervisors and District Managers should review the attached memorandum and implement as appropriate.
