Survey and Manage Survey Protocol-Lichens Version 2.1

Attached is Version 2.1 of the survey protocol for eight Survey and Manage lichen species. Instruction Memorandum No. OR-2003-004 transmitted version 2.0 to the field on October 18, 2002. The changes made in Version 2.1 are limited to the correction of errors found in the labels to some of the figures. No other changes were made to the protocol and all methodology and protocol requirements remain the same.

Implementation of version 2.1 will follow the guidance provided in Instruction Memorandum No.
OR-2003-004 (www.blm.gov/or/plans/surveyandmanage), which requires full protocol implementation for projects that have National Environmental Policy Act decisions, or decision documents, signed on or after
October 18, 2003.

Version 2.1 of this protocol will be revised, as appropriate, after field implementation and peer review, but should be considered adequate to meet all Record of Decision requirements until further notice.
