Answers to Questions on 2001 Survey and Manage Standards and Guidelines (First Set) |
| Enclosed are answers to some of the questions asked during the February presentations of the January 2001 "Record of Decision and Standards and Guidelines for Amendments to the Survey and Manage, Protection Buffer, and other Mitigation Measures Standards and Guidelines" (S&M ROD). Also included are answers to other questions sent to Survey and Manage (S&M) agency representatives. Some of the questions received were very complex. Answers to those questions are being developed by a wider group of knowledgeable individuals and will be sent to you as soon as possible.
Questions on the application of the 2001 S&M ROD to management activities in the planning phase, or with signed decisions as of the effective date of the S&M ROD (pages ROD 17-19), were addressed in the March 20, 2001, memoranda from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Forest Service (FS).
