| Summary: The BLM is temporarily closing BLM road #34-6-6 through the use of this Categorical Exclusion due to road failure from heavy rains. The road will be closed until October 1, 2013 for public safety and to ensure prevention of further resource damage during the upcoming wet season. A concrete barrier will be installed and a sign will be posted. Through the use of a Determination of NEPA Adequacy (DNA) on the Revised Environmental Assessment for Aquatic and Riparian Habitat Enhancement Decision Record (EA# DOI-BLM-OR-M000-2009-0004-EA) (June 2009), the BLM proposes to repair 350 ft of this road and its drainage network as well as restore the adjacent riparian/aquatic habitat by removing the landslide material. | |
