Description:

This theme shows the BLM Oregon's Wildhorse and Burro areas. The area boundaries were originally described very generally in the 1970's for Congress for the Wild Horse and Burro Act and have been defined more accurately over the years using better quality maps.

Resource Management Planning (most natural resource decisions are impacted by the existence of Herd Areas). Public inquiries about BLM's management of Wild Horses and Burros. Tying inventory of Horses to historic areas.
