| Summary: The Vale District Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposes to implement a multi-year, phased fuels management and habitat restoration project in the Baker Resource Area. The Baker Habitat Restoration Project Area encompasses approximately 45,000 acres of BLM lands and 1700 acres of Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife lands. It is composed of six discrete units (Auburn, Hereford, Pine Creek, Burnt River Canyon, Shirttail, and Durkee)that are situated approximately 7 to 25 air miles southwest to southeast of Baker City, Oregon.
