The proposed action will be implemented in accordance with and subject to the guiding land use plan - the Southeastern Oregon Resource Management Plan and Final EIS.

Summary: The Vale District of the Bureau of Land Management is asking the public to review and comment on the Cold Springs Herd Management Area Wild Horse Gather Plan and Environmental Assessment. The Environmental Assessment will provide you with further details of this gather. In summary, the Malheur Resource Area is proposing to remove about 106 excess wild horses from the Cold Springs HMA in July 2010. The purpose of the Proposed Action is to achieve the appropriate management level (AML) of wild horses on the range. If you would like to comment on this Environmental Assessment, please do so in writing. Address your comments to the Malheur Field Manager, Vale District BLM, 100 Oregon Street, Vale, OR 97918. To be considered, your comments must be received in this office by June 11, 2010.
