| Summary: Background:The Wallowa Whitman National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) are proposing the Sundry/Rooster Rock Vegetation Management project to manage the project area's warm/dry forested sites for healthy and resilient forested vegetation. The Sundry/Rooster Rock project area is a mix of both National Forest System (NFS) lands (approximately 93% of the project area) and BLM lands (approximately 5% of the project area). The project area is located approximately 12 air miles south of Baker City, Oregon, within the Whitman Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and the Baker Resource Area of the BLM.
