Summary: The approved action is to transfer property from The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). On December 28, 1984, the Bureau ofLand Management conveyed the subject 40 acre tract described above to TNC under the Recreation and Public Purposes Act. The property was conveyed so that it could be managed by TNC consistent with adjacent property that lies within the Davis Canyon Natural Area Preserve, held by the DNR. However, due to changing priorities at TNC, and the fact they have no other properties in the vicinity, they have decided it would be better to convey the land to the DNR (as a donation) so that it could be added to the Davis Canyon Natural Area Preserve.
