The Cascades Resource Area Field Manager has made a decision to thin approximately 111 acres of forest stands averaging 53 years old located in T. 8 S., R. 3 E., section 29, W.M. in Marion County, Oregon. The project will be implemented as the Power House Timber Sale. Other actions include up to 17 acres of fuels treatment and 2 acres of road right-of-way clearing for up to 0.58 miles of temporary road construction. The Power Mill EA and Finding of No Significant Impact were released for public review and comment April 11, 2012 to May 11, 2012. This is the second timber sale under this EA. The first Decision was the Power Mill Thinning Timber Sale issued May 30, 2012.
This sale was documented in the Power Mill Thinning Environmental Assessment (DOI-BLM-OR-SO40-2010-0007-EA).
