The Bureau of Land Management, Marys Peak Resource Area, has prepared an environmental assessment on a proposal to increase recreation opportunities in the Alsea Falls Recreation Area. The purpose of the proposed action is to establish a plan for future development and management direction for recreation resources within the Special and Extensive Recreation Management Areas boundaries for the next 15 years. Determination of NEPA Adequacy DOI-BLM-OR-S050-2014-0003-DNA Planning Completed
The BLM will be replacing four footbridges on trails within the Alsea Falls Recreation Site the summer of 2014. This action was analyzed in the Alsea Falls Recreation Area Management Plan EA. Minor impacts to visitors are expected.

Alsea Falls Trail Construction, Phase 1 DOI-BLM-OR-S050-2015-0003-DNA Project Under Implementation
The BLM is sharing updates to Phase 1 of trail construction in the Alsea Falls area. The BLM will be delaying the development of shared-use trails in the area; Phase 1 will continue to focus on trails for hiking and biking.
