The Airstrip Thinning Environmental Assessment (EA) has been completed and is available for review. The Cascades Resource Area, Salem District Bureau of Land Management (BLM), proposes to thin approximately 290 acres of forest stands. Connected actions include approximately 2 miles of road construction; and fuels treatments. The project is located within Township 4 South, Range 5 East, Sections 7 and 18, W.M. within the Clackamas River watershed approximately 6 miles southeast of the City of Estacada in Clackamas County, Oregon.
