| Summary: The decision documented in this Decision Rationale (DR) is based on the analysis documented in the Maxfield Creek EA, and is specific to a subset of actions within Project 1 of that EA. It authorizes the implementation of only those activities directly related to and included within Project 1, Upland Habitat Restoration that are expected to occur after the completion of the sold and awarded Maxfield Creek Timber Sale, in 2008 or later. Specifically, it includes the following restoration activities described in the Maxfield Creek EA: Fireline construction, prescribed broadcast burning, oak planting, brush and small tree cutting, and snag habitat creation. The proposed action will occur within Adaptive Management Area and Riparian Reserve Land Use Allocations (LUA's). | |
