| Summary: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Cascades Resource Area has made a decision to thin 142 acres of 40-68 year old stands. This project is located in T.11S. R1E. Section 33 and T. 12S. R1E. Section 3 within the Hamilton Creek and Crabtree Creek watersheds in Linn County. This project was documented in the FY 2006 Timber Sale Thinning EA (EA # OR080-04-20). An average minimum canopy closure of 40 to 50% would be maintained after thinning. Other actions include 0.2 mile new road construction that will be blocked and stabilized after harvest activities, and 12 acres of fuel treatments. | |
