Summary: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Tillamook Resource Area has made a decision to implement the Roaring Creek Projects as documented in EA# OR-086-07-02 and the associated project file. The first project is a commercial density management thinning of approximately 906 acres. The second project involves fish habitat restoration on 1.1 miles of Roaring Creek. The third project is wildlife habitat enhancement treatments on approximately 322 acres. These actions would occur on federal land in portions of T.1S, R.5W, sections 19, 29, 31, 33, 34 and 35; T.1S, R.6W, section 25 and T.2S, R.5W, sections 1, and 3; Willamette Meridian. This project area is in the Middle and Upper Tualatin River watersheds in Washington and Yamhill Counties, Oregon.

Summary: The Roaring Creek Projects Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact has been completed and is available for review. The proposed projects include density management thinning of 906 acres that would also build 4 miles of new temporary roads, renovate 5.6 miles of existing roads, and decommission 6.6 miles of existing roads; fish habitat restoration in 1.1 miles of stream and decommissioning of 1.4 miles of existing road; and wildlife habitat enhancement on 323 acres. All the projects are located in the Tualatin watershed, approximately ten miles southwest of Forest Grove in Washington and Yamhill Counties, OR.
