Summary: The Cascades Resource Area has completed the Oxbow Regional Park Recreation and Public Purposes (R&PP) Lease Amendment Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (EA). This EA is available for review. The EA analyses development and construction on leased land within Oxbow Regional Park in Township 1 South, Range 4 East, Section 11. New construction of 6 campsites and approximately 270 foot of gravel road on BLM-administrated lands would occur due to Sandy River erosion that decommissioned the main access road into the campground, campsites along the river, a restroom, and an amphitheater. The land is within the Cascades Resource Area approximately 8 miles east of Gresham, Oregon. Please send written comments on the EA to John Huston, Cascades Resource Area Field Manager, Salem District, Bureau of Land Management, 1717 Fabry Road SE, Salem, Oregon 97306. Comments may also be sent via email to BLM_OR_SA_Mail@blm.gov -- attention John Huston, or faxed to (503) 375-5622. The comment period on this EA will end on April 7, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please call Traci Meredith (503) 315-5991.
