Summary: To create diversity in young plantations, the Cascades Resource Area of the Salem District, BLM, has made a decision to non-commercially thin stands in Late-Successional Reserves on BLM administered lands in the Molalla River area. The project areas are located in T. 6 S., R. 4 E. & R. 5 E.; T. 7 S., R. 3 E., R. 4 E. & R. 5 E., W.M. Clackamas County, Oregon; 12 to 20 miles southeast of Molalla, OR. An EA for the project was completed and made available for public review. The Decision Record is available for review on the internet, http://www.blm.gov/or/districts/salem/plans or at the Salem Office. This Decision is subject to protest by the public in accordance with the regulations of 43 CFR 5003. To protest this decision, it must be filed in writing to John Huston, BLM, 1717 Fabry Road SE, Salem, OR, 97306 within 15 days of this notice.
