|Summary: The BLM has made a decision to thin approximately 52 acres of 50 year old forest stands. This project includes the construction of 2300 feet (0.4 mile) of temporary roads to be decommissioned after the completion of the project.
The BLM has also made a decision to implement a wildlife habitat improvement project that will release approximately 2 acres of suppressed Pacific madrone (Arbutus menziesii) by girdling or falling surrounding conifers. All trees felled will remain on site. These projects are located in T.4 S., R 2 E section 11. The project area is in the Lower Milk Creek watershed approximately 10 miles north of Molalla, Oregon.
