Summary: The Bureau of Land Management, Marys Peak Resource Area, has made a decision to treat approximately 4,534 acres of young forest (ages 1-35 years) across the Marys Peak Resource Area through 2014. This project includes manual maintenance, manual release, density management/pre-commercial thinning, and pruning. Approximately 498 acres in Benton, Polk, and Lincoln counties are scheduled for treatment in 2013 and 2014.
