| Summary: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Cascades Resource Area has made a decision to thin 430 acres of forest stands averaging 30-70 years old. This project will be implemented as the Lost Lulay Thinning timber sale. Other actions include: 209 acres of fuels treatment, 3 acres of road right-of-way clearing for 0.5 mile of new road construction, and 0.25 mile of road improvement. The project is located in T.10 S., R. 1 W. section 25; T.10 S., R. 1 E. sections 23, 25, and 29; T.10 S., R. 2 E. section 19; and T.11 S., R. 1 E. section 5; W.M. in Linn County, Oregon. | |

| Summary: The Lost Lulay Thinning Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (EA) has been completed and is available for review. The BLM proposes to thin 544 acres of overstocked 30-70 year old forest stands located on BLM lands within the Cascades Resource Area. Connected actions would include: treatment to reduce forest fuel on approximately 285 acres; replacing and installing culverts, removing a failing log fill road crossing to restore the stream channel location; constructing up to ½ mile of road; and renovating approximately 12 miles of existing road. The project is located in T.10 S., R. 1 W. section 25; T.10 S., R. 1 E. sections 23, 25, and 29; T.10 S., R. 2 E. section 19; and T.11 S., R. 1 E. section 5; W.M. in Linn County, Oregon. | |
