| Summary: BLM has made the decision to repair and decommission two roads in the Tillamook Resource Area. Von Road is located in T3S, R5W, section 30. This road is on private land but is controlled by BLM. It was damaged by a storm in 2007, and has been closed since that time. The road will be repaired by moving it into the hillside for a distance of about 200 feet. Testament Creek Road is in T4S R7W section 4 on BLM and a small section of private land. The road was damaged by landslides during storms in 2007 and 2008, and 0.8 miles of the road will be decommissioned by removing culverts, constructing waterbars, pulling a small amount of sidecast material back onto the road, and blocking the road to vehicle travel. The work is expected to be accomplished in 2010 or 2011. | |
