Summary: BLM proposes to offer unleased federal minerals estate for oil and gas competitive auction to develop the federal mineral estate. Parcels include 21,672 acres of public (BLM) land and 2,960 acres of split-estate land (private surface with federal subsurface minerals). Lands proposed for leasing are located in multiple sections of T.3N. R.3W., T.4N. R.3W., and T.5N R.3W. in Columbia and Washington Counties, Oregon. Parcel leases are expected to be offered for sale in March 2010.
