| Summary: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Cascades Resource Area has made a decision to thin 390 acres of forest stands averaging 45-55 years old. This project is located in T. 5 S., R. 4 E. Sections 3, 10, 17 and 21; W.M. within the Lower Clackamas, Lower Molalla, and Upper Molalla Watersheds in Clackamas County, Oregon. This project was documented in the Beeline/McDowell Creek Thinning EA (EA # OR080-06-06). An average minimum canopy closure of 40 to 50% would be maintained after thinning. Other actions include 0.1 mile new road construction that will be blocked and stabilized after harvest activities, and 78 acres of fuel treatments. | |
