| Course Description: | The course presents fire behavior principles and terminology for fuels, topography, and weather. It shows how they are interrelated and apply to field situations. |
| Target Group: | Trainees will demonstrate knowledge and determine basic input data for fire behavior calculations: rate of spread, fire line intensity, flame length, and area/perimeter growth using fire behavior prediction system( nomograms and/or HP71B computer). Trainee needs to be familiar with “Behave” prediction system on the HP71B. |
