Signs of Hydraulic Mining

At this point there is another reminder of the powerful hydraulic giants. Looking southwest is a hillside with V-shaped cuts, a result of hydraulic mining activity. This type of mining left noticeable scars on the landscape. Eventually, plants, trees and brush will cover this scar.
