The Lost Cub project is part of the Elk Wings Commercial Thinning and Density Management EA. Lost Cub will occur on four units (approximately 192 acres) of second-growth forest approximately 37-42 years old located in the Elk Creek-Umpqua River Watershed in Sections 23 and 27 of T. 22 S., R. 6 W. Willamette Meridian. In addition, approximately 2 acres will be removed for the development of spur roads and rights-of-ways. Lost Cub will provide approximately 4.252 million board feet of timber available for auction.
