The project consists of commercial thinning on approximately 62 acres of young and overstocked forest stands located in Sections 31 and 32, T. 29 S., R. 8 W., Willamettc Meridian. Commercial thinning in upland areas and density management in Riparian Reserves will yield an estimated 987 thousand board feet of timber.

The South River Field Office, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposes commercial thinning of two (2) mid-seral conifer stands approximately 62 acres in total area. Both stands are about 54 years old and are located in the Matrix and Riparian Reserve land use allocations. A map of the proposed unit boundaries and existing access roads is attached.

The Coq & Dagger CT sale was originally offered at auction on February 15, 2011 and again on May 24, 2011. No qualifying bids were received on either occasion. There have been no changes to the sale as originally configured, and all contract stipulations and provisions that applied previously will remain in effect.
