Summary: The Swiftwater Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposes to harvest timber in the Elk Creek Watershed located in Section 27; T23S R4W, W.M. (see maps, Appendix A through C). The proposed project area is approximately 14 road miles northeast of Oakland, Oregon and 24 air miles north-northeast of Roseburg, Oregon. Approximately 250 acres are analyzed for potential harvest and density management (within the Riparian Reserve) activities. New road construction and renovation or improvement of existing roads would also occur.
