| Summary: The South River FY 2009 Commercial Thinning Environmental Assessment (EA) proposed approximately 866 acres of commercial thinning in the Matrix allocations with density management in associated Riparian Reserves, and 306 acres of density management in Late-Successional Reserves. The analysis was conducted in conformance with management direction in the 1995 Roseburg District Record of Decision and Resource Management Plan (ROD/RMP) as amended prior to December 30, 2008. The Plug Nickel Commercial Thinning project is a component of the proposed action described in Alternatives Two and Three (EA, pp. 5-14). | |
