| Summary: There is a need to treat mid-seral stands that are currently overstocked to maintain stand vigor in the Connectivity/Diversity Block (C/D) and General Forest Management Area (GFMA), maintain/enhance stand diversity in the Riparian Reserve and improve wildlife habitat within the occupied marbled murrelet habitat designated to be managed as Late-Successional Reserve. The purpose of the proposed project would be to reduce the stand densities and improve wildlife habitat through thinning prescriptions in a cost-efficient manner following 1995 ROD/RMP management direction. | |
