Prineville District

Documents in Project

Environmental Assessment OR-056-06-078 Planning in Progress
The proposed action is the reduction of hazardous fuels within the wildland urban interface. This programmatic EA is intended to consider the areawide environmental impacts of hazard fuel reduction. This EA implements the tiered process outlined in 40 CFR 1502.20, which encourages agencies to tier environmental documents, eliminating repetitive discussions of the same issue. This programmatic EA will be tiered to the Upper Deschutes Resource Management Plan, the final environmental impact statement (EIS) for approximately 400,000 acres in the Deschutes Resource Area.
