Central Electric Cooperative (CEC) is requesting a right-of-way (ROW) grant to cross public lands for the installation of 9 power poles (45 feet high) and a three phase electrical line with a cross arm of 8 feet wide, adjacent to Juniper Canyon Road for future development of the Juniper Canyon area. CEC is requesting a 30 foot wide right-of-way. Juniper Canyon is a Crook County Road and the width of that right-of-way is 100 feet. The proposal also includes removing six-seven poles with two live power lines and one neutral line. Three of the poles being removed is from steeper terrain with no road access with the remaining three being adjacent to Juniper Canyon Road. The six or seven poles would be removed by cutting the pole, pulling the pole, all lines, electrical and neutral and then rehabilitating. The removal of the poles would occur by using a six tired rubber device (All Terrain Vehicle) where there is no road access and other motorized trucks where the poles are adjacent to Juniper Canyon Road. Equipment needed to complete this project are; heavy duty service trucks, drill trucks with an auger(18-24inches), line trucks, and pickup trucks.
