| Summary: The Prineville District of the Bureau of Land Management, has received an application from Davenport Newberry Holdings LLC (Davenport). Davenport proposes to drill up to twelve shallow exploratory monitoring wells to acquire scientific data about the geothermal resource and the subsurface geologic structure over a portion of their leases. If approved, the project would initiate in the spring of 2010. The proposed project is located approximately 22 miles south of Bend, on federal geothermal leases held by Davenport, and within the Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest. | |
