Description:
This dataset shows the Wildhorse and Burro areas for the geographic area depicted by the South Fork of the John Day River boundary in the John Day Resource Management Plan. The original area boundaries were described very generally in the 1970's for Congress for the Wild Horse and Burro Act and have been defined more accurately over the years using better quality maps.Purpose:
This dataset was intended for analysis in the John Day Resource Management Plan, for natural resource decisions impacted by the existence of wild herds, and for public inquiries related to BLM's managemet of wild horses and burros.File Type:
