Description:

This dataset shows federal pending, authorized, and closed oil and gas leases, agreements, and lease sale parcels on federal lands or where there are federal minerals within the geographic area depicted by the plan boundary in the John Day Resource Management Plan. Agreements include communitzation agreements, participating areas, exploratory unit, unit agreement, etc. It was derived from the National Integrated Land System (NILS) where the leases and agreements in NILS have been converted from the BLM's Legacy Rehost (LR2000) system, the source where the original case records are electronically maintained.

Purpose:

The intended use of this layer is for analysis where Oil and Gas agreements and leases on federal lands or on lands where there are federal minerals are important in the John Day Resource Management Plan.
