Description:
This dataset shows the potential for the occurrence of mineral materials such as sand, gravel, rock, and cinders. The boundaries are based on rock assemblages described in the geologic map and where existing rock quarries are located, within the geographic area depicted by the plan boundary in the John Day Resource Management Plan. The original source for the geologic map was a geologic digital spatial database (ORGEO) for the geologic map of Oregon by Walker and MacLeod (1991).Purpose:
The intended use of this layer is for analysis where the potential for mineral material sites are important in the John Day Resource Management Plan. The U.S. Geological Survey database which served as the original source data provided geologic process aFile Type:
