Medford District

Decision Record,Categorical Exclusion DOI-BLM-OR-M060-2014-0012-CX Planning Completed
The Ashland Resource Area of the Medford District BLM proposes gopher trapping on 319 acres within past harvest areas in the Ashland Resource area. The gophers are making it difficult to establish new vegetation in these previously harvested areas. This action is necessary to get both conifer and other wildlife habitat vegetation established to BLM minimum standards. Trapping would occur from approximately June through October, 2014.
