Summary: The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Timber Mountain Recreation Management Plan considers five alternatives to analyze for managing OHV use in the Timber Mountain Recreation Management Area. The Timber Mountain Recreation Management Area (RMA) is located on BLM administered lands intermingled with privately owned lands. Off-highway vehicle enthusiasts have used this area for about 40 years and use has increased in recent years. Opportunities exist to work with adjacent private landowners to manage OHV use across land ownership boundaries.
