Summary: The Butte Falls Resource Area has decided to thin 971 acres of dense forest stands, protect a meadow from off-highway vehicle use, provide road maintenance along the meadow, and remove old barbed wire fencing. A stewardship contract will be used to complete commercial and precommercial thinning and release treatments while promoting biomass use.
