| Summary: This plan is part of the August 2003 Rogue National Wild and Scenic River Hellgate Recreation Section Hazardous Fuel Reduction project on the Medford District of the Bureau of Land Management. This neighborhood project encompasses approximately 159 acres of BLM land on the north bank of the Rogue River, near Hellgate Bridge west of Merlin, Oregon. The project will reduce hazardous fuel conditions while protecting Wild and Scenic River values. The fuel hazard reduction work will be done manually with the material being handpiled and burned, or removed as biomass. The plan also addresses anticipated long term maintenance. | |
